This was done 24 hours ago, on 16th May 2011 at Self Sacrifice in London, UK. They are known for their amazing quality in tattoos and I went there highly recommended by many friends. It paid off; they were sweet and I’m so happy with how it has turned out.
It’s my- very polite- fuck you to the haters.

This is my seventh tattoo, and it reads “let go.”  A bunch of levels of meaning.  1:  Lyrics from Memphis May Fire’s “The Redeemed”  2:  On learning how to let go of something/someone you’ve loved, which brings me to 3:  My father died 4 hours after my 17th birthday.  He lost a long battle to cancer, and this is a reminder to let go of what’s gone.  The ECG line flatlines on either side, and wraps around my arm.  <3  Miss you dad, I hope you’re proud.

I went to the Dominican Republic a few weeks ago to volunteer for an organization called Compassion International and this was one of the coolest moments of my entire trip. This community of young kids had never seen a tattoo in their life. It was amazing. It was just funny how a silly thing like a half-sleeve could break a language barrier.
